KNORROX CASH COW FAQ’S

  • It is a unique campaign aimed at empowering South Africans, especially women, and educating them about the importance and power of investing and saving through livestock wealth. It is our way, as Knorrox to give back to the community and the people of the community.
  • The prize is a male free-range calf
  • The campaign/competition will run from 15 April until 15 July 2019
  • You need to be 18 years and older, and you must also be a South African citizen
  • To enter, purchase any 12 pack Knorrox Stock Cubes and 400g Knorrox Soup and dial *120*2676#, then follow the prompts
  • Every time you purchase any 12 pack Knorrox Stock Cubes and 400g soup you can enter – each entry needs it’s own proof of purchase to validate it
  • An estimated 8-12% annual return on your investments excluding the yearly dividend payment.
  • Winners will be chosen through an audited random draw will take place every month, these will be validated against till slips received
  • Livestock Wealth is a “crowd farming” platform that enables anyone to invest in cattle over a fixed term as they grow and earn income from the sale of the beef.
  • Factors that could affect the investor’s returns are the beef price and the weight of the cow
  • Winners do not pay any money as Knorrox is investing on their behalf, an amount is paid up front to secure a farmer who will look after the cow, and it also serves as insurance against cases like illness or death
  • Yes, you will be, there will be a handover event at the end of the campaign period where winners will officially receive their cow investment certificates along with some educational investment and financial skills on how to best invest their winnings
  • You can download the Livestock Wealth app to view pictures of your cow and track its progress as it grows, from anywhere in the world.
  • Similar to all your other investments, your cow becomes part of your estate. The Livestock Wealth app enables you to nominate a beneficiary in event of your death.
  • The Free-Range cow is male, and therefore cannot fall pregnant.
  • Each cow has a unique RFID code attached to its ear tag that helps you identify it. This same code is the one that appears on your ownership certificate that you receive when you invest.
  • When the cow has reached maturity, it is marketed to an approved meat abattoir who then pays a market related rate for the cow based on its weight. We then calculate your individual returns which will be your original investment plus a return of 4-7 %
  • Death and theft are the only significant risks associated with this type of investment, but all cows are insured against such unforeseen events with the exception of farmwide natural disasters beyond our control which are a rare occurrence.
  • Livestock Wealth and its partner farmers will tend to every cost pertaining to your cow as it is insured
  • Male cows grow at a faster pace than females when given the same amount of food. Most farmers prefer to retain their female cows as breeding stock.
  • If during the period of investment the cow dies because of illness, accident or any other cause within our control we replace it at no cost to you. The only exception is if such death is caused by farm-wide natural disasters beyond our control. Such a risk would not only be affecting us but all the farmers in that area. This risk is reduced by having cows and farms in different areas to minimise the geographic risk of such unlikely occurrences. Knorrox will provide each winner with R10 000 in cash in the event of these types of natural disasters.
  • When investing in Livestock Wealth you invest in the actual ownership of the cow, hence each transaction having a tax invoice. Furthermore, as an investor, our winners receive an ownership certificate which together with the tax invoice verifies ownership of the cow during your investment period. You the investor, have a right over your asset regardless of Livestock Wealth. In that unlikely event, you will be able to either take the cow alive or convert the cows into cash and not lose your investment.
  • Livestock Wealth only provides a solution for people who would like to farm but do not have the time, skills and land to farm profitably. There are various avenues such as auctions, livestock agents and farmer associations that are available for farmers who have property and the ability to buy cattle for their own farms. If an investor has ambitions to become a full-time farmer in the future, they are welcome at Livestock Wealth but will have to take the invested amount plus their profit at the end of their investment term and use that to buy cows closer to where their farm is located.
  • The farms are situated in KwaZulu-Natal and North West regions with KwaZulu-Natal having 3 farms, namely the Rietfontein, Fairplay and Jesmond Farms. Farm and North West has the Lusthof Farm.
  • Livestock Wealth through its partner farmer will manage your free-range cow for 6 months until it reaches the appropriate weight (+/-500kg) which will enable it to be slaughtered and sold.
  • The terms and conditions of the competition do not allow for that
  • As with any investment, investors are required to declare any income or losses from their investment which is then paid during tax season.
  • You have the option of investing in a pregnant cow or a Free Range calf oxen (male calf) that has not reached full maturity. The costs of the two options vary. For this investment however, we will be investing in a Free range oxen (male calf) for 6 months.
  • Livestock Wealth will provide the investor(s)/ winners with an ownership certificate of cows that have their own unique number.
  • Financial guidance will be given at the handover event at the end of the campaign
  • Longer term support  will be given to winners, this will be advised at the handover event
  • The more you enter the competition the more you increase your chances of winning. Keep buying12-pack Knorrox stock cube and 400g Knorrox Soup and entering via USSD *120*2676#. Don’t forget to keep all your till slips.
  • The agency will be calling all the winners to inform them of the winnings and to validate their till slip. They will thereafter be announced on digital platforms.
  • As per the terms and conditions of the campaign, unfortunately not
  • No, you cannot opt out over the 6-month cow investment duration. Also, you do not get the physical cow. You will get the cash from investing in that cow for a 6-month period. You are more than welcome to re-invest the funds into the cow investment from your proceeds thereafter. No physical cows will be received by any winners.
  • The relationship between Livestock Wealth and its investors is  governed by Livestock Wealth and Knorrox terms and conditions that are on the website.
  • There is no separate cash cow investment platform, only the digital and social media platforms that will be used to post any updates i.e. winners names.
