Chilli Mince with Vetkoek Recipe

The perfect Friday evening snack! This easy-to-prepare vetkoek and mince recipe will kickstart your weekend.

Ingredients

  • 200 g Knorrox Curry Flavour Soya Mince
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 green pepper chopped
  • 300 g lean beef mince
  • 4 potatoes peeled cubed
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 Knorrox Chilli Beef Stock Cube
  • 1 cup frozen peas

Directions

  1. Place the Knorrox Curry Flavour Soya Mince in a bowl with the water and set aside to soak.

  2. Heat the oil in a large pot and fry the onion and green pepper until soft.

  3. Add the beef mince and fry until well browned.

  4. Add the soaked Knorrox Soya Mince together with the potatoes, water and Knorrox Chilli Beef Stock Cubes and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring frequently.

  5. Stir in the frozen peas and simmer for a further 5 minutes.

  6. Serve with vetkoek.
